Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 build on July 9, Thursday. The latest build, 10166, shows some tweaks on the earlier released builds. It mainly shows how the 300 additional bug fixes work, and a new wi-fi feature for the operating system.
The latest build has included a feature that will be available in the US soon. Previous builds have shown that Windows 10 will include Microsoft Wi-fi, the software company's new app. The app allows users to buy access to wireless wi-fi from the Windows Store. Microsoft is making the app available in Seattle, and says it will be made available also in all of United States.
Windows 10, from the previous builds, has shown that it can automatically connect devices to public internet hotspots with its Wi-fi Sense feature. Many smart devices can access public wi-fi. But Wi-fi Sense reportedly allows friends to share wi-fi passwords with one another. How Microsoft Wi-fi and Wi-fi Sense will fare in popularity and usability still leaves much to be seen.
Last week, Windows beta released build 10159 less than 24 hours after 10158 has been released. The two builds showed updates on Cortana, the additional bug fixes, and the new internet browser, Edge. Another build, build 10162, was released last week.
Microsoft has had an eventful week. Some days earlier, the software company has announced that Windows 10 may not be available to everyone on its July 29 release. The upgrade will certainly be available to Windows Insiders. No updates have been given as to when the OS will be available to the rest of the market. The OS is reportedly still in the works, and has not been given to manufacturers as of July 5.
Windows 10 will also be released on mobile on July 29, and again, it is not clear as to who gets to have it on that day. The Windows Beta team earlier reported no major issues about the OS.
