Google Maps Allows You To Send Directions To Android

Google Maps has introduced a new feature that proves to be handy for its users. The "send to device" option of the app is now enabled for android devices. The feature has previously been available to only desktop users with browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

To enable the new feature on the device, the Google Maps app should be opened. Make sure the android is signed in to a Google account. The "send to device" link will automatically appear once Google Maps is running in the device. Just click on notifications, and navigation can start.

Once the notification is opened, the user can check on hours and locate establishments within the vicinity of the location searched. The user can also look into more information regarding the place, as establishment websites will also be pulled up once the notification has been opened.

The option is available to the latest version of Google Maps. It has been made available to iOS devices, via the "send from desktop Maps" option. The app's latest version is available on APK Mirror and Google Play Store.

Google's navigation app is considered one of the most reliable in location searching. Other than its newest feature, it has demonstrated practicality and user-friendliness by letting users also look into how to get into their destinations. It indicates the time it takes to get from one place to another, using a specific mode of transportation.

Google Maps has also been embroiled in a previous controversy, where it has been said to show the White House once the derogatory term "nigger house" is searched. The tech giant has since apologized.

Google has begun incorporating simple and practical features in its landmark apps and websites. Last month, Gmail has introduced the 'undo send' button. It allows users to retract mistakenly sent email messages, as the feature delays sending for about half a minute.
