Apple iOS 9 Beta Release Angers Users

Apple recently released a public beta version of its new software, iOS 9, and those who tried it are not very satisfied. Apple's mobile operating system used to be simplistic so that anyone could learn to use it, no matter their age. However, consumers have complained that the new iOS9 has made the iPhone too complicated for an average user.

Many feel that the new updates were unnecessary and were only made in view of additional progress. As a result, consumers that were originally fans of the iPhone and iPad's simplicity are now having difficulty adapting to the excessively complex operating system of today. Because of this, Apple risks losing many of its users.

iPhone iOS 9 has been made available to those users who signed up for Apple's open Beta program. Up to-date, the Apple Beta program has been available for developers, but a couple of days ago Apple released a public beta that anyone can install. Cupertino warns against installing iOS 9 on your main device. You might want to listen that advice, however it might be for a different reason other than bugs and crashes.

Apple used to be renewed for their care on providing intuitive user interface and the best user experience. However, it seems that the company has started to lose its reputable best touch with the user experience. What used to be a mobile OS built on the principle that anyone could use it, has become an operating system loaded with unnecessary design tweaks, with gimmicks and tricks only for the sake of incremental progress.

The company seems to forget why customers have originally become fans of the iPad and iPhone. Now many of these users cannot adapt to Apple's new products and are left behind because of an overly complicated OS. By favoring tech savvy customers over those with less tech skills and knowledge, in Apple has alienated a broad spectrum of potential and existing users. Right now, with iOS 9, Apple has renounced to keep it simple for everyone. This strategy might cost Apple in the long run, in their ongoing battle with Android.

Apple doesn't limit its loss of touch with simplicity only to its operating systems. Another example is the Apple Watch. Their iDevice doesn't give the feel of a gadget fully thought out. It might be very well executed, but the problem is that it wasn't very well designed. It is not solving meaningful problems and it is hard to use in terms of utility. It falls short of timelessness in terms of fashion.

Power was favored over simplicity and the new mobile OS 9 from Apple provides power features like the Siri mobile AI assistant. But this was done while sacrificing the design and overall user experience. By creating a more powerful OS in order to cater for business tastes, Apple is losing plenty of consumers that are shopping for simplicity on their smartphone interface.
