A few weeks ago, Logitech has announced that it will be selling its products under the Logi brand. Now, the first line of products under the new name has been introduced. It will be a line of drop-proof cases for iPads.
The company has come up with protective casings for iPad Air and iPad Mini. According to MacRumors, the lineup includes three different versions of the gadget accessory, which is named Logi BLOK. Each has the same capacity to withstand impact resulting from at most a 60-feet drop, to hard surfaces like concrete cement floors.
The Logi BLOK Protective Shell is made for iPad Mini and iPad Air 2. It is a hard rear case made of polymer material that is flexible. It protects the device from scratches. Along with it, a screen protector for the iPad models is also sold.
The version that has a front cover that doubles as a stand is aptly named Logi BLOK Protective Case. While having virtually the same protective qualities as the Shell, the cover also keeps the device's display safe from scratches and breakage. The line of safety accessories also includes the BLOK Protective Keyboard Case for the iPad's physical keyboard.
Apple's tablet is a very popular device. With a size ideal to bring anywhere and large battery capacity, it has consistently increasing sales, until early this year, when it has reportedly suffered a decrease in its figures. It's not about the device losing users, reports say. It's that iPads that have been bought earlier are not being replaced yet.
Logi's new line of products may be catering to the maintenance and longevity of the iPad, which is a device all to its own. With the specificity of the Logi BLOK, the market for the product is automatically narrowed, and still leaves to be seen whether it will be good for the sales or not.
Logi BLOK will be released in August this year.
