You Will Have Windows 10 On July 29, HP Says

"Customers can go buy Windows 10 machines on HP.com right now and you'll have them on July 29th," said Mike Nash, VP of product strategy and customer experience for computer maker HP. The computer making company joins Dell in saying that they are ready to bring Windows 10 PCs to the market upon the operating system's release less than two weeks from now.

Customers who will opt to walk into the nearest retail stores to make their purchase of a Windows 10 PC may have to wait a little longer. Nash says only a select few among computer retailers will have Windows 10 PCs available by August 2. HP is an OEM partner of Microsoft, along with Dell, Acer and Lenovo.

"We expect several OEM partners to have Windows 10 devices available for sale on July 29, including Lenovo,HP, Dell and Acer with many, many more devices to follow in the coming weeks and months. We are excited to be working with our OEM partners to see Windows 10 innovations light up on these new devices," a spokesperson of the software company wrote on Monday.

On Monday, July 13, Microsoft said that Windows 10 PCs may not be ready for the launch of its latest operating system, and will therefore miss the release date. Microsoft has earlier announced that Windows 10 will only be available to Windows Insiders on July 29.

The software company has not chosen a final version of Windows 10 as of yet, rumours say. No version among its regularly released builds have been given to manufactures to produce the new operating system. It seems that among its recent builds, which are designed to fix bugs, the company has not seen one good enough to be released to PC makers. Downloading of the builds have been suspended beginning on July 15.

There has been no follow-up for those who are currently using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, who are supposedly eligible for the free update on the day itself. Windows 10 is Microsoft's highly anticipated new OS which features a voice assistant, an wi-fi feature which automatically connects to hotspots, and Microsoft's revamped search engine, Edge.
