Amsterdam-based messaging app, Line has come up with a new application that lets its users locate their friends and families at a given time. The app is called Line Here. Through this, you need not to repeatedly call or message the friends you're going to meet. It also makes it really convenient for you to confirm if they are indeed already on their way to meet you.
Line Here has already rolled out to both Android and iOS. To be able to use the app, the user will have to verify his or her account with Line or Facebook. The app works by indicating where the user's contacts are in real-time. So if the user will have to meet some of his contacts at a certain place, he does not have to call or text them just to know where they may be at. Easier location sharing is the focus of the app, according to ZeeNews India.
Using the app, the user can make a location sharing room. Such room can hold up to 200 contacts, and works by putting all of the contacts in a map. This shows where the selected contacts are at during a specific time. If one were to meet with friends, he would be able to tell right away if his friends are arriving or are still far from the destination.
The app comes in handy and is really helpful especially for parents who want to monitor their children's whereabouts from time to time -- without having to sound nagging or even demanding. And because there is no need for calling or texting, it is also an app that promotes safety, and is particularly useful for someone who is on the road.
If the user does not want his whereabouts to be shared all day and everyday, he can set a timer for when he wants to share where he is at. Recently, Google has introduced a location-based platform called 'Your Timeline'. This platform is more personal as it zeroes in on the user's whereabouts, recording when, where and how he has gotten there. Your 'Timeline' also allows users to put matching pictures for memories' sake. And since only the user can see the content, it is all good for when memories have to stay where they actually happened.
