Many upcoming devices have been reported to be revealed in Sept. The latest name to be added in the list of such tech companies is Apple, which has been confirmed to be introducing its newest smartphones on Sept. 9, which falls on a Wednesday. This comes as no surprise to followers of the company's products, who, by now, have established Apple's smartphone habit of revealing them in Sept.
Many online communities have already predicted a September unveiling from Apple, but according to Computer World, it's Buzzfeed's John Packowski who predicted the date for this year's Sept. introductions. Packowski has been following Apple's schedules with its smartphones over the years and has told communities to prepare for a Monday event. As it turns out, the date has been pushed back because Monday falls on a holiday.
The event will be held in the Billy Graham Civic Complex in San Francisco. Apple will be live streaming the event, and it can be watched in Safari on iOS and Apple TV. This year, Apple offers something new to its webcast. Windows 10 users will also be able to watch the webcast of the event using Microsoft Edge, the operating system's browser. Apple previously only granted access to Apple devices and platforms.
Invitations for the San Francisco event has been sent out on Aug 27, Thursday. Apple has also announced the event on its website by putting a "Hey Siri, give us a hint' tag, which then reveals not only the day of the event, but also confirms that the company will introduce a revamped Apple TV. The event webcast begins at 10 am.
Another big name that has been reported to introduce new products this coming Sept. is Samsung, which has been widely speculated to bring the Galaxy Note 5 to the IFA. The company has been known to also introduce gadgets in Sept like Apple does.
