Motorola Releases Second Generation Moto 360

It's a week for new smartwatch releases. Motorola has joined other tech companies in introducing its new wearable, the second generation Moto 360. The company's second-generation smartwatch comes in two designs, one for men and one for women. The device has already been made available for pre-order since it has been released in the U.S.

The new Moto 360 has three different sizes for clients. Two different sizes are available for men while one size is for women. The Android Wear device is customizable and clients can choose from different styles in the Android Wear store. Moto 360 for women requires a 16mm bracelet. It comes in a 42mm case. The version for men comes in 42 mm case and 46 mm case.

The Indian Express reported that the 42mm version will have a 300 mAh battery whereas the 46 mm one will have a 400 mAh capacity. Motorola claims that the new watches can last up to one and a half days with a single charge. Equipped with an ambient light, the devices will last up to one whole day with the light on. The watches for both men and women are all equipped with Gorilla Glass 3.

The watches have a 1.4-inch display and have a 360x325 pixel resolution for the 42mm version. The 46 mm version, on the other hand, has a 360x330 pixel resolution. All devices are powered by Android and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. They have 4GB storage and 512 MB RAM. The devices are also equipped with dust and water resistant properties.

The Moto 360 second generation range has already been released in the U.S. and will be coming to other countries soon. The watches have a price that starts at $299.99 and it will vary depending on the style the client chooses. Motorola has also released the Moto 360 Sport, but the price of the gadget has remained undisclosed as of the moment.

Google has named Motorola as one of the Android Wear brands to run the Android Wear for iOS app, which will enable the company's smart watches to work with iPhones soon. Specific models have not been named as of yet. This week has seen several smartwatch releases. LG released its Watch Urbane Luxe and Huawei has just introduced the Huawei Watch on Wednesday. All three are Android Wear devices.
