The New Apple TV Will Be For Gaming

Two days before Apple holds its launching event for upcoming iPhones and other devices, reports regarding another one of its products, a revamped Apple TV, have surfaced. The Cupertino-based tech giant will be holding the event in San Francisco, and the Apple TV has earlier been reported to take the stage at the event, alongside the new iPhone models.

While Apple TV has come to be known as the small black box which allows its users to watch videos and use video-focused apps since it has first been released in 2007, the new Apple TV will be focusing on gaming. According to a report from Polygon, the new Apple TV will have a gaming controller and will enable users to have access to Apple's gaming apps via the Apps Store.

It has been said that the revamped and refocused Apple TV will sell for $150, a much smaller price to pay compared to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Late last month, the Apple TV has been reported to launch in the Sept 9 event in San Francisco. Earlier reports have it that the new version of the device will come with a motion sensor remote control that also features Apple's voice assistant, Siri. Even then, not a few have noticed that the new Apple TV may also be ideal for gaming.

Apple has not yet confirmed the details about the new Apple TV, but with the event just a few days away, everyone can just bear for a while. Wait and see until launch. Apart from the new Apple TV, the company will also be unveiling the iPhone 6S. The widely-anticipated iPhone will come with a new feature called the 3D Touch Sensor.

The feature enables the device to distinguish among three different levels of touch, unlike the earlier force touch function, which only differentiates between two levels. The new technology is also coming to the iPad Pro, which will also be unveiled in the Apple event on Wednesday. The Apple event will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The company is set to live stream the event on Safari and Microsoft Edge.
