Xiaomi Mi 4C Arrives On September 24

A popular Chinese tech company Xiaomi has been reported to release its newest smartphone model within the month. The information has made its rounds online after Oppomart listed the new Xiaomi smartphone ahead of its release, which is slated on Sept. 24, Thursday. Xiaomi will be launching the Xiaomi Mi 4C in two versions.

The two variants, one with 16GB storage and another with 32GB storage, are equipped with the Snapdragon 808 processor, according to a Tech 2 report on the matter. The 16GB variant will have 2GB RAM whereas the 32GB version of the device will be coming with 3GB RAM. Because both of the variants are equipped with the same Snapdragon 808 processor, internet tech writers say that the 32GB variant is the better model to purchase.

The Snapdragon 808 processor runs at 1.8 GHZ, and the Mi 4C models will be sporting the new 64-bit variant of the chip from Qualcomm. The USB Type C connector will also come with the phone.

Apart from that, it will also be powered by the MIUI 7 operating system, which promises better animation and functionality for Xiaomi phones. The new operating system is based on Android 5.1. Other features of the Xiaomi Mi 4C include dual slots for Micro SIM cards, support for the 4G system, a 3000 mAH battery and dimensions that are exactly the same as its predecessor. The Mi 4 measures 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm.

Upon its release on Sept 24, the Xiaomi Mi 4C is reported to be going on sale on Oct. 3. One hundred thousand units of each variant are to be shipped. This totals 200,000 units for its initial shipping. The pricing of the 32GB variant has not been divulged, but the 16GB version will reportedly be priced at $220.
