Pre-orders for the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus has already begun for some telecommunications companies in Australia. Names such as Optus, Telstra and Vodafone have revealed the prices of their offerings with the new iPhone model. Apple has released the new phones on Wednesday, Sept 9, in the Apple launching event held in San Francisco.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the pre-orders that have begun on Saturday apply to the "rose gold" model of the iPhone 6S Plus. The Mac Prices in Australia has listed the device's price as "Starting A$1,079." The models already have a limited supply in some of the country's major mobile sellers. The iPhone 6 models will be available in the market on Friday, Sept 25.
Telecommunications companies have introduced their packages for the new iPhone models. Telstra announced that it will be adding in some bonuses for its data plan users. For those who availed of the two-year, $95 package 1GB data will be added. Extra 5GB and 9GB worth of data will be added in for users who have availed of the $135 and $195 plans, respectively. The bonuses boost the monthly data for the users.
Optus, for its part, gives the bonuses to plans which cost more. The company bumps up the monthly data for users of its $108 data plan to 12GB, a 2GB-boost from the original 10GB data. For its $135 plan, the company boosts data from the original 16GB to an impressive 20GB. Optus also throws in free roaming calls and texts internationally.
Vodafone offers the $130 Red Plan, which packs in additional 5GB data. The demands for the latest iPhone models are apparently very high. One day after pre-orders have begun, there has been an evident stock shortage of the new iPhones. Retailers reveal on Sunday via a survey that they are already short on iPhone stocks for the rose gold model.
