The Star Wars Battlefront open beta version is geared up and all set for Oct. 8 across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. The beta version is being publicised as a technical test which is why Electronic Arts has made it free for all.
The game is set to be on the rampage between Oct. 8 and Oct. 12, during these dates, you can anticipate the creators to be watching very carefully to address and fix any lingering bugs, enhance servers and even learn from your strategies and game style inclinations.
Talking about game approaches, players will be getting a trio of them across Tatooine, Hoth and Sullust. The Tatooine acts as the host to Survival Mission, playable solo or with a companion, as you try to defend off swarms of Imperial forces together with TIE fighters, AT-ST's and Stormtroopers. The Drop Zone takes us to the Outer Territories on Sullust, fighting an 8v8 battle to capture escape pods booming down onto the sphere.
Then there is Walker Assault, where Battlefront's range and prospective for heavenly pandemonium gets highlighted with over 40 player competitions. Players join up as Rebels or as a part of the Empire to one or the other -- getting rid of or looking after inward bound AT-AT walkers. The act plays out in objective-based stages, climaxing in that iconic AT-AT confrontation.
In addition to the beta version itself, it looks as though EA is also dipping the Battlefront Companion familiarity. This will be held at StarWarsBattlefront.com's site for the interval of the open beta version -- featuring a tactical card game known as Base Command.
Much to the anticipated showbiz significance, the Companion app functions to score in-game acclaims which unravel weapons, Star Cards and other unannounced items. Parallel to Battlefield's companion program, it will also let users squeeze their loadouts and associate with networks.
