Smartwatches have already taken full swing last year, with plenty heapload of offerings such as the Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch, Pebble Time, and Apple Watch battle it heads on in their market. It is the same in each country, demands of both smartphones and smart accessories arise, and pre-orders go the minute they come. Recently, Samsung did a limited release of their Galaxy Gear 2 in South Korea. Apparently, it only took about 120 minutes before it sold out.
Samsung in its home country had put 1,000 units of both the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic up for pre-orders, and both accessories are gone within the span of two hours. Korean analysts say that the market reception for both smartwatches is as warm as those who were thrilled with the company's previous smartwatch, the Gear S and Cupertino's Apple Watch.
According to industry sources, both smartwatches will come with about 16 to 18 apps pre-installed, with only less than a dozen nonremovable. Both smartwatches also are not equipped with Google's Android Wear, rather, Samsung is sticking with Tizen OS.
Both the Galaxy Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic are Samsung's first pair of circular smart watches, with previous iterations going with standard rectangular watchfaces similar to the Galaxy Gear S.
Both smartwatches come with a 1.2 inches Super AMOLED display sporting 360 x 360 resolution, and both are expected to have about 4 GB of storage on board as well as NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1. It will be equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core Exynos processor, with its memory going with 512 MB; and unlike Samsung's previous smartwatches, the new pair will be compatible with other Android smartphones running Android 4.4 KitKat and above with Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity.
Both of Samsung's Galaxy Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic are set to come out Oct. 2, making it only a couple of days left before it hits market release.
