The Course Maker that has been promised since before Gran Turismo 6's launch is finally out. Polyphony's driving simulation can now finally lay claim to it being complete.
From the time when the Track Maker for Gran Turismo 6 was declared, followers have been going crazy over it, fantasizing about generating their homegrown streets or racing course. After a period of quietness, many enthusiasts have given up on the concept that the track maker will essentially be included in GT6 in a yet to come update.
Last summer, Polyphony's Kazunori Yamauchi cited that they were presently analyzing the track maker beta. This statement gave followers some confidence of its tangible existence. Since then, fanatics have suffered another long period of stillness.
This calm has yet again been shattered this week. Acknowledgements to Pulse Films who have just uploaded a slightly odd one-plus minute commercial for the GT6 track maker. The commercial entitled Gran Turismo BMX shows a man doing some spins on a BMX bike which is theoretically the stimulus for the track layout drawn above him. The advertisement has a message saying "design your own track."
In a latest cinematic from Alpine Vision Gran Turismo teaser, the background is showing an Alpine car in GT6. The fanatics are mystified by this material as the track that the car is running on is not one that is recognized to be in the game. The ad video is making fanatics wonder that the track used may be the result of the course maker.
Devoted Gran Turismo web site GTPlanet has all the specifics of the feature, which works via an application that can be downloaded on Android or Apple consoles. For what it is worth, it is an improvement on the random course generator that was featured in GT5, with players taking full control over the design of the circuits, being able to delineate height as well as the arranging of curves and roadside objects. Four diverse backgrounds are accessible, including the Death Valley, Eifel region, and Andalusia, which are an all-new series addition.
