Apple's release of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in its S cycle has proven to be a success - it managed to break the record set by last year's release of the two new phones.
Thirteen million units in its opening weekend is no small feat, even for Apple. This time, Cupertino will attempt to repeat that success as it readies to launch new hardware in the Mac family. Next week, Apple is planning to launch a 21-inch iMac with 4K resolution.
9to5Mac reports that Apple will be revealing its 21.5-inch All-In-One that features a 4K screen resolution. According to rumors, the new hardware could also be available in stores as early as Oct. 13, Tuesday.
Reportedly, the new model of iMac will not that much of a difference to non 4K iMacs design-wise. This means that the main highlights of the new model is its 4K (4096 x 2304) screen resolution. It will also likely to feature a more powerful graphics card to push that massive amount of pixels.
Furthermore, the new 4K iMac is expected to come in preloaded with OS X El Capitan. It is important to note that the resolution of the upcoming 4K iMac was reportedly spotted in the El Capitan Beta. It has also been speculated before that the new model's release date was supposed to coincide with the release date of El Capitan.
On the other hand, Apple has also been reportedly developing a new pair of accessories, a 'Magic Mouse 2' that features the new Force Touch Technology and a new Bluetooth Keyboard, which comes with a much longer battery life. Both devices are also reported to have a significant upgrade in their connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy. Bluetooth 4.2 is said to be much faster and more efficient than the previous standard, and considering that both accessories still use Bluetooth 2.0, the new ones will come with significant advantages.
