Resident Evil VR Is Coming

Capcom publicized that the team responsible for the Resident Evil games has been focusing their efforts on incorporating Resident Evil 7 to a virtual reality game. Also, the company unveiled that there would be a Resident Evil 2 remake with VR support.

Capcom's Division 1 development team is in-charge of its virtual reality games. Also, the said team was responsible for the Resident Evil game series which has been popular to the horror games category. The team is making efforts in hopes of achieving Resident Evil 7 and a Resident Evil 2 remake a virtual reality game possibility.

The gaming company has its focus on the virtual reality market. Though Resident Evil was not mentioned specifically, VR horror games are one of the lead projects under Capcom's Division 1 team.

Presently, Resident Evil is one of the horror titles in Capcom's list to turn into VR. In its own terrifying realm, the idea is that players can go around its augmented world where they would experience horrific events and hunt down the zombies using VR, but there would be no escape on the creatures chasing the players, not unless they remove their devices.

The company acknowledges the good feedbacks they have received from a demo they launched at E3, enough to convince them to pursue VR games. Virtual reality is one of the popular markets right now out in the gaming industry, which Capcom considers.

Enthusiasts who are worried about Capcom's new target with traditional game console developments should take it easy. The company cleared the smoke about building games for traditional consoles and VR consoles simultaneously and need not to worry as they have plans to stay a tough contender in the gaming industry in all categories.

Depending on how VR games become in the gaming industry, Resident Evil 7 could become a VR success. The VR horror genre could as well as be Capcom's new intellectual property. Although Resident Evil VR is not officially deep-rooted, fanatics are keeping an eye on it.
