Square Enix's Steam version of Final Fantasy XIII will be debuting in December. The long-promised sequel Lightning Returns will be the concluding saga of the game's trilogy.
Kitase Yoshinori, the producer of Final Fantasy XIII, promised a Steam version of the game to be out sometime in December. Square Enix is still putting up the final touches to the game and it might take a little more time before the game is released.
Square Enix apologizes for the sequel's late release after it was targeted to be unleashed by autumn season. But rest assured, the company will be releasing "Lightning" on Steam by early December. As days go by, the company will be sharing the game's details through press releases and social media teasers.
Originally launched in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Lightning Returns is the conclusion of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. Square Enix has publicized that version of it will be coming out on Steam platforms, but other details were halted as the promised sequel missed its targeted date.

Final Fantasy XIV is an MMORPG produced by Square Enix in follow-up for the Final Fantasy game series. This would be the second time the company has attempted to release a massive multiplayer online game for the said series since Final Fantasy XI. Although the game was good, it has taken a lot of negative criticism due to a number of concerns at its launch. It led the company to relaunch the MMORPG as Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn.
Final Fantasy XV would be the next instalment to the Final Fantasy series, which is addressed to launch in 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Although it is said that Lightning will be returning, A PC version release date is yet a mystery.
