ASUS Outs Special Edition ZenFone 2 Deluxe

Asus has become a strong player in the mobile industry since they first released their ZenFone smartphones. Powered by Intel's Atom processors, the company's smartphones have definitely made its way as a capable daily driver for anyone, especially for PC gamers that follow the brand. Recently, the Taiwan-based company has announced the Special Edition of its critically acclaimed ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe, and it comes with a more exquisite design to deliver a fresh, engaging look to any consumer looking for a gorgeous smartphone.

The Special Edition Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe comes with a multi-faceted texture with more than 500 polygons to bring better ergonomics. It takes the concept of crystals, pure, beautiful and powerful for its design language, and is now available in red, steel and carbon fibre colour schemes. Furthermore, while it still carries the same riffs on its texture pattern, it also comes with a sleek carbon fibre backing should users want a change in aesthetics. However, unlike the regular deluxe version, the Special Edition features a chromium silver finish.

As far as the hardware specifications go, the Special Edition Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe is basically the same as its standard Deluxe variant. It comes with an Intel Z3580 chipset that features a 64-bit 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU, PowerVR G6430 GPU for its graphics, and its groundbreaking 4GB of RAM.

Asus first announced the ZenFone 2 Deluxe back in September, and was available for US$299 for the 64GB variant. As for its special edition, the Taiwanese company bumps the storage to 128GB, and throws in two exclusive rear panels.

For those interested in purchasing the Special Edition variant of the Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe, leading online stores in the U.S. such as Amazon, Newegg, B&H and Asus USA are currently offering the smartphones for US$399. Although, it's important to note that Asus' naming schemes are somewhat confusing that users would most likely have to use more specific keywords to get the desired result.
