Quora has been the go-to destination for people looking for answers. Over the years, it has become an extensive knowledge sharing network where people gather not just the correct answer, but the very best from the most reputable people familiar with the raised questions. Even President of the Unites States Barrack Obama answered questions about the Iran Nuclear Agreement. In an effort to further increase its already massive user base, as well as to challenge the front page of the internet's Ask Me Anything, Quora has announced that they are launching a new feature called Writing Sessions. The new feature will allow askers to determine when a domain expert is looking for interesting questions to answer, as well as collaborate to assemble a great set of questions that the domain expert can answer.
Whenever an expert engages in a Writing Session, people who might be interested will receive a notification to let them know that he or she is ready to take questions and will answer some of them at a given schedule. Users can also follow questions asked by other people. Follows and downvotes will determine how the questions on the page is neatly arranged to help the expert answer what readers find the most interesting.
Similar to other questions and answer found in Quora, Writing Sessions will remain as a permanent knowledge publicly accessible and reusable to readers and askers in the future.
Currently, Quora is taking questions from the United States Senator Tim Kaine who is an expert in military and foreign policy. The senator is one of the 20 people in American history who have served as a Mayor, Governor and a senator for the United States.
Quora's ongoing schedule is here and will focus on people who offer unique insights on topics emphasized on humanity. COO of Facebook and Founder of Lean In Sheryl Sandberg, Silicon Valley venture investor and founder of Khosla Ventures Vinod Khosla, and President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America & Planned Parenthood Action Fund Cecile Richards are the initial speakers alongside Senator Kaine.
