Multiple accounts in social media for users seem more prevalent nowadays that developers are trying to support them in their apps. This has proven useful for anyone who has different accounts for both personal and work use, with Facebook and Twitter being the top platforms for it as of late. With Instagram becoming another thriving grounds for advertisers, multiple account support is also one of the highly requested features that the users are asking. Fortunately, its team of developers is reportedly rolling out support for it on Android.
According to reports, multiple account support will be on version 7.12.0 of Instagram. The update is still not available on the Google Play Store, but users will be able to get their copy from APK Mirror or by enrolling in Instagram's official Play Store beta testing program. The feature is below the 'About' and 'Terms of Service.' Then, the 'Add Account' option is below 'Clear Search History.' Once selected, users will be able to sign in with another account or create a new one.
Afterwards, there will be a dropdown arrow next to the account name on top of the application page—this is where users will be able to switch between the accounts they have signed in on the Android app. Moreover, there's also an option to log out of the signed in accounts individually or altogether in the settings page.
Further reports also said that the multiple account support feature has been around for a while now for some users, although it appears more of a cloud roll out—other users who are also on version 7.12.0 of Instagram still don't have the feature enabled, while others can already do so. But whatever the case is, this will most likely eliminate the need for third-party apps that seek to do the same.
