There's a new iOS update in the works coming soon to owners of iPhones. IOS 9.3 can now be downloaded by developers and those who want to try and get their hands on Apple's latest version for its mobile operating system. The new update will include a suite of welcomed upgrades that's set to deliver better organisation, new 3D touch features and more.
The news comes from Apple's official announcement of iOS 9.3, which brings a significant roll of update to iOS 9. Users can expect new features for its Health, Wallet, Notes and Settings app. First in line is the Night Shift, a new setting built into iOS 9.3 that is designed to change the display's colour screen during nighttime.
According to researchers, blue light that is emitted by LED panels halts the production of melatonin, which is also known as the hormone that notifies the human brain to sleep. Switching from bright white and blue colour tones to warmer colours such as red, orange and yellow will reportedly bring more comfort to the user's eyes and will also allow the body to follow its natural sleeping habit. Google has already integrated this feature to its Play Books app for Android, and there are also a handful of apps such as Flux and Twilight that can be downloaded from the Play Store.
The Notes app can now be password protected to keep the user's notes safe from users that browse their iPhones. It also has support with Touch ID should users want to protect it with their fingerprint. Moreover, users can now sort notes by date or title.
3D Touch also gets an upgrade treatment as it now adds new shortcuts from the Home screen for Weather, Settings, Compass, Health, App Store and the iTunes Store. Furthermore, there will also be a taptic feedback when accessing multitasking using the feature. Users can check out more details at Apple's official website for iOS 9.3.
