The widely used social media network today has a few hidden gems to it that ordinary folks like us have yet to explore. However, it gives out surprises from time to time and that is what the buzz is about.
Some weeks back, Facebook unveiled its Live feature for its users. According to PC Mag, this time, Facebook has also followed up with another feature called "Discover," which allows users to find related groups that coincide with their interests. Such interest could stem from hobbies, sports and many other topics imaginable.
Aside from specific topics that users are able to target audiences for their say, online media businesses, group conversations also give Facebook users the free opportunity to share content in relation to talked-about topics.
A random group of users were given access to click on the "Discover" feature. To know if users were included in the mini sample group to test out the new Facebook feature, this option can be found on the left-hand side of the user's page. Just look for the Groups section, then click on the More tab. Clicking on the More tab would give users a headstart on finding out whether the "Discover" tab is available or not. If it is, then lucky you.
What is under the "Discover" tab are about 25 categories that house different themes under them, according to Mashable. For example, users would be able to view Animals & Pets (for the furry lovers out there) or Buy, Sell, Trade (to exchange knick-knacks with). There is even a tab called Funny.
Tapping on any of these tabs (and still others) under the Discover feature would further let users browse for more suggestions on more specific groups that are of interest. Facebook also highlights top groups that users can easily join into.
Also, under the Discover tab, Facebook lets users see groups that their social network friends have already joined. Mind you, there are also top group listings under each particular category for users to browse even further. Curious already? Just give it a tap and find out.
