Avid "Minecraft" gamers will be happy with the latest news. A new birthday skin pack has been released to mark the game's fourth birthday on Xbox.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One players of "Minecraft" will be able to download a free birthday skin pack until May 16 as a way to celebrate the game's birthday on the said console, according to a report posted on Xbox Wire. This marks the 4th birthday skin pack that developer Mojang has released for the popular game.
The fourth birthday skin pack contains new mob-themed shirts for game characters Alex and Steve. Apart from the new shirts, the three previous birthday skin packs will also be available for free download for Xbox One and Xbox 360 "Minecraft" players. The said skin packs have been named 1st, 2nd and 3rd birthday skin packs.
Avid "Minecraft" players may recall that the previous birthday skin packs have added characters from other games such as "Viva Pinata," "Halo," "Fable" and "Banjo Kazookie." These character skins were added through "Minecraft's" 2nd birthday skin pack, along with other skins. Meanwhile, other characters included in the game's 1st and 3rd birthday skin packs include skins for a carpenter, blacksmith, zombie, creeper and many more.
Apart from the Xbox 360 and Xbox One birthday skins, Wii U owners of "Minecraft" will soon enjoy a free "Super Mario Mash Up" pack, as stated on a report posted on game developer Mojang's website. The said mash up pack will add a Mario-themed world to the game. It also contains several "Mario" character skins such as the said game's two protagonists Mario and Luigi, as well as the princess, Petey Pirahna and Kamek. All in all, the pack contains over 40 characters that will be added to "Minecraft's" base game.
The free "Super Mario Mash Up" pack will be available for free download on May 17 for all existing Wii U digital owners of "Minecraft." The said pack will also be included in the retail version of the Wii U version of the game to be released on June 17.
