A Sunset Date For Microsoft's Sunrise Calendar App?

Updates and innovations are good for a certain product to empower the customers. These changes may be constant but it is fleeting and improving for the good of the users. Just recently, Microsoft has announced that a particular application will be phased out. However, the phasing out does not necessarily mean the full stop operation of the application. Microsoft has, in fact, informed its avid users that despite the change, it is still developing another interesting application to be integrated in its formats.

According to a web post via The Verge, Microsoft is now planning to phase out its stand-alone application, which is the Sunrise Calendar on Aug. 31. It will no longer be applicable from the iOS App Store or in the Google Play Store. On the brighter side, according to the tech titan, the entire Sunrise team is now working side by side with the Microsoft Outlook team for the new and upcoming Outlook application.

According to PC World, users will have a few months to keep using the app without support before the company switches off the service at the end of August. Microsoft acquired the company behind Sunrise and puts its team to work with them for the new Outlook application.

The Sunrise team says that it is working hard and now bringing features from the app over to Microsoft's. In addition, for the Microsoft watchers, it is not anymore a surprise. It gives everybody an idea that no matter what kind of application is made, it can always be phased out. So, whatever applications that are installed in the devices, use them as they will be gone soon.

Moreover, according to The Verge, Microsoft has been gradually improving the calendar that is built into its Outlook iOS and Android applications. In addition, it is expected that there will be more Calendar applications added. Sunrise still supports many calendar applications. The users are hoping that these will be included in the coming integration.
