Verizon news and updates revealed that the company is still dealing with much scrutiny. Along that line, Long Beach Town Hall was in a buzz and fury when Frontier took over the operations from Verizon.
It appears that perturbed customers demanded the return of their phone connections and Internet line. It has even reached the ears of Frontier's high-ranking executive. Not just one consumer but dozens of customers went to NBC4 since Frontier Communications made the switch of operations from Verizon's landline phone, TV and Internet service last April 1, reports NBC4.
More than 100 customers came face-to-face with an executive at the Long Beach Expo Arts Center hoping to get answers regarding their long lists of problems, and at the meeting organized by Assemblyman Patrick O'Donnell, some complained about not having a phone line to call 911 or speaking with Frontier and Verizon customer service reps for hours and getting no help.
Moreover, "I think Frontier would agree they have an obligation to customers to fix this issue," Assemblyman Patrick O'Donnell said.
Nevertheless, Frontier Communications West Region President White rendered his apologies for the conversion and switch. Despite his statements, the crowd is still adamant that things be done sooner and even exclaimed that the company does not even know what is really going on. Owing to the rising apprehensions, it has been forecast that the consumers would opt for other carriers if Frontier does not shape up.
To prove the latter, Mantooth, one of the complainants, said that a technician made a surprise visit to her Long Beach home and began restoring each device one by one, and although she plans to stick with Frontier, that is not the case for all who attended the town hall. They had already or were planning to switch carriers, as noted by the same post.
The journey to success is presently evading Verizon now. It is not only in Long Beach but other regions such as Delaware and the East Coast that have faced the outcomes of the dismay of the union workers, according to iTech Post.
It remains uncertain how this present issue would continue for the region. However, for the moment, as Verizon underwent a shift in management as Frontier took the operations at Long Beach, the sparked fury and tension were not among the outcomes that both segments wanted to see and witness.
