E3 2016: Square Enix Teases 'Exciting Tomb Raider News'

Game developer giant Square Enix just gave fans a teaser of what to expect at E3. The lineup looks pretty promising so far.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is considered one of the largest games and entertainment trade fairs in the video game industry. The fans have been abuzz with what developers will be releasing in the future.

Square Enix has released a blog today with the title "The Road To E3 2016 - Part 1". On its blog, Square Enix has discussed various contents like developer interviews, exclusive live game demos, and "exciting guests from our Square Enix family." The game developer promises compelling content and will share them with fans of its 'Square Enix Presents' live show. The show will be broadcasted live at the Square Enix booth, and is also available on its official Twitch and Youtube channels.

Towards the end of the blog, Square Enix said that fans should expect a new, exciting Tomb Raider update on their next blog, along with "a few new games that our team has been hard at work on." Speculations have ranged between the realistic (Rise of the Tomb Raider release date) to the most ambitious (full-length Tomb Raider movie?)

The developer dropped a few details on what game demos fans would be expecting at E3. Included in the list is action-RPG Deux Ex: Mankind Divided. Also on the list is the third installment of the stealth video game Hitman. A playable demo of the newest Just Cause DLC, 'Land Mech Assault' is also announced on the blog.

On the JRPG side of things, Square Enix has also included the highly anticipated Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, which will launch June 28th. Also mentioned is I Am Setsuna, which is the first game released by Square Enix's new studio Tokyo RPG Factory. I Am Setsuna is described to have taken "inspiration from the golden era of RPG's and their story telling," which caused a huge stir of interest among diehard JRPG fans.

Also on the blog is two games from the crowdfunding initiative Square Enix Collective. The Turing Test, a first-person puzzler, and Black the Fall, described as 'an atmospheric game set-up in a communist dystopian era' on its website, will both be having its debut on Square Enix's E3 booth.

More exciting news will be revealed on the next blog. By then the speculations might be put to rest.
