Fans of Goku and his friends are in for some treat courtesy of Bandai Namco, as "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be making its way to every gaming console soon. The sequel is set to be announced on E3 this coming June. Well, looks like people will be seeing Kakarot unleashing his famous "Kamekameha" for the second time around!
The original game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" has taken the whole gaming experience into a different kind of level. With the franchise being based from a popular anime, its success is only inevitable. And indeed, Bandai Namco is looking to take advantage of the huge fan base by releasing the new installment "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" this calendar year.
The forthcoming fighting style role-playing game is slated to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and is currently being developed by DIMPS. The sequel is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which runs from June 14 to June 16, as part of Bandai Namco's presentation.
According to Engadget, the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" trailer has already been released, featuring the ever-popular characters in the franchise, namely, Goku, Trunks, Vegeta and what-have-you. And the player's mission? Well, to protect the Dragon Balls as well as their history, of course! They can even tweak the outcomes of the anime (perhaps prevent Goku's death in the hands of Frieza and whatnot).
The sequel is also believed to feature additional options for character customizations and brand new locations and/or cities. Moreover, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is rumored to bring forth more characters in the roster.
Kotaku, on the other hand, reports that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will only be made available for PlayStation 4 in Japan. If the game's global trailer introduced almost all platforms, the Japanese trailer only mentioned one -- PlayStation 4, that is.
As of this writing, Bandai Namco has not released any official statement confirming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" to be exclusive for PlayStation 4 in the Land of the Rising Sun.
