Xbox Two Rumors: Will New Microsoft Console Come With VR Technology?

If the latest rumors are to be believed, Microsoft will soon be launching the much-anticipated Xbox Two. A section of reports suggest that the new console will be far more superior compared to the much-talked about Xbox 1.5.

Speculations are rife that the Xbox Two will offer a 4K resolution similar to that of its rival Sony's PlayStation 4.5. In addition, the purported Microsoft console is likely to support virtual reality (VR) games as well as Windows 10. Moreover, Xbox Two is rumored to come with an augmented GPU, GameNGuide reported.

A section of the media outlets suggest that the Xbox Two may be launched before the PlayStation 5. It is rumored that the new Xbox Two will be powered by an AMD chipset, which will enable backward compatibility. At the same time, the Redmond tech giant may remove the disk drives from the upcoming console and instead equip it with a built-in Steam functionality.

According to a recent report, it is possible that Microsoft will opt for the VR technology for its upcoming console. In due course, console gaming is expected to undergo a lot of changes. For instance, they will come with upgraded graphics.

In the near future, physical discs may be completely taken out of the consoles and gamers will mainly depend on Internet connection as well as servers to play, The BitBag reported. Nevertheless, the report suggests that Xbox Two may come with physical discs, while the company is likely to offer more model options to the consumers. While some models may come without a physical disk drive, there may be others that are likely to feature bigger hard drive capacity.

In fact, both Microsoft and Sony are keen to incorporate such upgrades to their respective consoles. It is also certain that Xbox Two will come with the backward compatibility option that will be similar to the feature gamers have experienced on the existing Xbox One. However, as Microsoft has neither confirmed nor denied anything regarding the purported Xbox Two, all the specs noted above should be considered as mere speculations.
