‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Announcement Expected At E3? Rockstar Has ‘Exciting Projects’ Soon

After teasing about further game development, it has been speculated that Rockstar Games is expected to announce a "Red Dead Redemption 2" release for the PlayStation 4 in the upcoming E3 event.

According to a report by Forbes, it has been confirmed that the game developing company is working on a new game following the earnings report of Take Two Interactive, the publisher and distributor of the said gaming title.

This report speculated rumors and speculations that the company would work on the western-themed open world game.

"Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon," Take-Two said in the earnings call.

The company did not reveal any more details about the games to be released. However, the "Grand Theft Auto 5" publisher president Karl Slatoff also stated that they would have to diversify their company's portfolio, a report from Game Spot revealed.

In addition to that, speculations for the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" have been talked about for a while now, especially when a rumored map for the sequel reportedly leaked.

Based on the revealed map, rumors claimed that the follow up to the 2010 title could be set on an earlier American frontier period - years before the first game was set.

Furthermore, with regard to the upcoming E3 event in June, Take Two Interactive and Rockstar Games already revealed that they will be introducing "Mafia 3" to the public. The publisher also stated earlier this year that the upcoming gaming convention will be coming "in a big way."

Although there are no confirmed reports about the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" as of now, fans of the game series would have to wait for the E3 event on June 14 to 16 to see if the company does, in fact, have something in store for their fans.
