Language barrier will no longer be a problem around the world as an in-ear device will be the answer to this. The device can translate foreign language to the wearer's native language and it works real time.
A company called Waverly Labs has developed a device called "The Pilot" system will soon be launched in the market in September this year, according to Bored Panda. People will no longer struggle to use Google translator or even look for translator to understand foreign languages as this in-ear device will certainly do a real-time translation while on the wearer's ears.
An app will also let you choose different foreign languages the wearer wants to translate, which include Spanish, French, Italian and English. The device also comes into a pair of earpieces that perfectly fit into the ears.
According to Extreme Tech, The Pilot system can be compared to the Babelfish in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." The device also works only with always-on data connection and it also accesses the wearer's smartphone's processor on wireless. It is claimed that The Pilot has perfected the real-time speed compared to the smartphone translator services.
The Waverly Labs creator said that he came up with the idea to create the device after he met a French girl. To use the device, the earpieces can be shared by two people. While talking in different languages, the in-ear device will serve as the wearers' translators to understand each other.
With its real-time speed translation and portable form that is perfectly matched with smartphones, the device costs $129 and consumers can also pre-order on the scheduled date, on May 25. The developers are also going to release the translation app this summer.
Aside from the two earpieces, the package will also contain one portable charger and an accompanying app. The app is where the languages are downloaded for the earpiece. Additional languages will be available soon after, which include East Asian, Hindi, Semitic, Arabic, Slavic, African, and more.
