Rumors have been spreading that Rockstar Games will introduce "GTA 6" this year, and that release date announcement may come at the upcoming E3 event.
According to Neuro Gadget, following the massive success of "GTA 5," Rockstar is expected to announce something big at the upcoming event that is speculated to be the announcement of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and "GTA 6."
Although there have no confirmed reports about these statements, the site stated that fans have to find out what the developer would announce during the event on June 14-16 in Los Angeles.
In a report by Develop Online a few years back, Rockstar boss Leslie Benzies revealed that they already have plans for the sequel of the game that could last for as much as 45 years.
"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies stated as he hints about the potential "GTA 6" release date. "We don't know what 'GTA 6' will be, but we've got some ideas."
Furthermore, in the same interview, he is speculating as to where the setting for the upcoming game will be. Although he didn't reveal any ideas yet, he is considering it to be in other parts of the country.
"It comes from the idea first," he said about the setting of "GTA 6" if the release date has been confirmed. "Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."
However, other speculations suggest that the announcement of the game may come this year, but the game being available could come in two to three years.
