Tekken 7 is coming to a city near you. It was recently announced that the Tekken 7: King of the Fist Iron Tournament 2016 - North America will be touring 18 major cities to give players a chance to compete for cash and glory.
The Tekken 7: King of the Fist Iron Tournament 2016 - North America will be the largest tournament in the continent to date. The tournament is the only way for players to experience Tekken 7. MNR Daily reported that the game is slated for release on the Playstation 4. However, no details from Bandai Namco regarding an arrival date yet. A formal title has yet to be announced too.
The official website of Bandai Namco announced that the tournament began last February 19, 2016 at the Wizard World in Portland, OR and will keep touring until November 6, 2016 at the Wizard World Comic Con and Gaming Tour in Pittsburg, PA.
Every tournament has a prize pool worth $3,000 and a final prize worth $20,000. Katsuhiro Harada, Director of Tekken Project at Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc said, "The Tekken series is a cornerstone of the fighting game community and continues to evolve and advance the genre forward with each installment."
He also challenged North American players, "I'm excited to see what the North American Tekken community is made of as they compete over the next seven months in the Tekken 7: The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016 in North America."
