Samsung has recently collaborated with Warner Bros. Interactive to create a Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge, expected to launch this year. The mobile phone company has posted an unboxing video (seen below) on its official Youtube account, showcasing the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition.
The phone is black - as expected on a Batman-inspired phone - with a gold Batman logo at the back of the device. The new phone appears to also come with a rubber phone case inspired by the Caped Crusader's armor featuring a gold-plated Batarang and in select territories, a Samsung Gear VR headset. CNET reports that Oculus VR content vouchers and Injustice game credits will also be included in the limited-edition package.
Younghee Lee, Samsung's Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile, said in an official press release that the Korean tech giant is excited about its latest collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive. "Samsung always seeks to provide the best mobile gaming experience for its users," Lee said. "And this partnership reinforces our commitment to the game's fans."
The latest theme comes as the popular mobile DC fighting game "Injustice: Gods Among Us" celebrates its third anniversary, The Verge reported. The mobile game combines collectible cards and 3-on-3 tag team combat elements. It also features a whole slew of iconic DC characters.
The game was created by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios, the same team responsible for the Mortal Kombat franchise. The Injustice mobile game is free on Google Play.
Last year, Samsung released an Iron-Man edition for the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Injustice bundle will be made available in June in the U.S., China, Singapore, South Korea, Latin America and Russia.
