It is no secret that "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is currently being developed by Infinity Ward. While this is a good choice to take, fans were surprised, thinking that the studio is working on "Ghost 2." Finally, the company revealed their reason behind the move. Meanwhile, exo suits will not be a thing in the upcoming game.
When the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" reveal trailer was released, it received a good amount of dislikes. Nonetheless, there were those who were happy when Activision announced that Infinity Ward will be in charge in developing the game. However, for the fans of "Ghost 2," it is a different story to tell.
According to Attack Of The Fanboy, the primary reason behind the studio's decision is that they wanted to try something new. Narrative Director of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Taylor Kurosaki said that they plan to give the game a new storyline, completely different from what the entire series had.
Kurosaki iterated that "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will, in one way or another, have no connection to the previous installments. Instead, it will feature a brand-new setting as well as a new set of characters.
Simply put, the rumors about "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" being a nod to "Modern Warfare" and other "Call of Duty" titles are all but false. Infinity Ward wants to pursue a new and bolder direction, hence the space setting.
Well, it is safe to say that the studio really means business after putting "Ghost 2" aside. As for people who are hoping for the exo suits, the upcoming "Call of Duty" game will not have them. In fact, as reported by Dexerto, the official Twitter account of the game confirms it.
Either this is part of Infinity Ward or Activision's decision, fans should still be pleased knowing that "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will instead have movements similar to "Black Ops 3." Regardless, the game is out come November this year.
