After Apple's Internet services experienced outages affecting the Mac and iOS App Stores, iTunes, iCloud and Apple TV, the company announced that it was able to resume all its services.
The system outage started on Thursday, June 2, just one day after Apple users reported connectivity issues with iCloud Music Library. The company acknowledged the issue on its system status webpage.
Apple Insider reported that at least one problem appeared to be linked with Apple's purchase processing system. When attempting to access iTunes and App Store assets, many users have reported seeing error messages.
The issues have started late afternoon on Thursday. The initial glitch has affected a large number of services, including iCloud Backup, iCloud Account & Sign In, iCloud Calendar, iCloud Bookmarks & Tabs, iCloud Drive, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Notes, iCloud Reminders, iCloud Storage Upgrades, iCloud Web Apps, iCloud Keychain, Documents in the Cloud, Back to My Mac, Find My iPhone, Find My Friends, iMovie Theater, iPad, iPhone Calls to iPad and Mac, iPod Touch and Mac, iWork for iCloud, Mail Drop, Mac App Store and Photos.
According to Fortune, on Friday, June 3, Apple has announced that all its services, including the popular App Store, have been restored. The company was able to resume all applications as of 11:55 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Apple's U.S. web page states now "no reported issues." The high-tech company said on its company's website that services related to Photos and iCloud apps have also resumed.
According to a timeline provided on the company's support page, the issues appear to have started just before 4 p.m. EDT. Some of the Apple services resumed earlier. For instance, the App Store functionality has been restored at about 6:30 p.m. EDT. However, an Apple spokeswoman declined to comment on the nature of the outage.
