Bose's new Bluetooth sports a headphone, the SoundSport Wireless, and is a fairly affordably priced in-ear model launched with a price tag of $150.
According to CNet, Bose's original SoundSport wired remains available for a reduced price of $100. The new SoundSport Wireless has an open design, the same as the previous model. This makes it ergonomic and very comfortable to wear.
Users do not have to jam the earbud into their ear. The bud remains securely in place while it sits loosely in the user's ear, thanks to Bose's Stay-Hear+ eartips that come in three sizes.
Bose SoundSport Wireless is one of the most comfortable in-ear sports headphones. The special sport version of the Stay-Hear tips is different from the Stay-Hear tips included with the earlier in-ear headphones. The headphone was already launched in black and aqua.
Later in September, a yellow version will be available as well. A SoundSport Pulse with built-in heart-rate monitor will also become available in September, at a price of $200.
The headphone comes with an inline mic and remote that allow users to adjust the volume, skip songs, take and make calls. The SoundSport Wireless is sweet and water resistant as well.
The headphone provides 6 hours of battery life. The accessory charging case can be purchased separately at a price of $50.
The only downside to the open design floating-fit of the Bose SoundSport Wireless headphone is that ambient sound does leak. It is not the best choice for noisy environments. For those interested in noise canceling, Bose will launch soon its QuietControl 30 headphone model.
According to Gizmodo, Bose is also making the QuietComforts, its most popular noise-canceling headphone, completely wireless. The over-ear QuietComfort 35 comes in two colors, silver and black.
The headphone is made of plastic and Bose kept the design 7 super compact, making the device a great travel companion. The QuietComfort 35 provides an impressive 20 hours of battery life and comes at a steep price point of $350.
