Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Now Available Exclusively At AT&T For $750

As part of AT&T tradition, the American carrier has launched another exclusive version of the Samsung Galaxy S flagship line, the Galaxy S7 Active.

The rugged device may have a build reminiscent of its predecessor, the Galaxy S6 Active, but it certainly has a number of tricks up its sleeves when it comes to functionality and upgraded specs and features, as per VentureBeat.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is a 5.1-inch smartphone that sports a bulky 4000mAh battery for longer power juice that's useful to its intended market of active adventurers. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-running phone also has a powerful processor to carry out hefty tasks and intense smartphone commands.

There's 4GB of RAM to handle multitasking. It comes with 32G of internal memory and there is also the advantage of having a microSD slot for additional storage.

For hikers, campers and outdoor activities enthusiasts, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is the perfect daily driver because of its durable and shatter-resistant display and its IP68 certified water and dust resistant properties, according to PC Mag. The shatter-resistant property of the smartphone has been tested by the South Korea tech company and it was found out that it can withstand up to five feet of drop.

The Samsung hardware also brags a sharp primary camera that houses a 12-megapixel sensor with the advanced DualPixel technology. In addition, it comes with three physical buttons, and one of which is the home button that houses the fingerprint sensor, as noted by UberGizmo.

For interested consumers, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is set to go on sale this Friday, June 10, via AT&T's Next plans. One offer requires users to pay $26.50 per month for 30 months. Another offer requires payment of $33.13 per month for 24 months.

Interestingly, AT&T is really determined to widen the reach of the device, so it is giving away a complimentary Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch for any of the Next plans of the Galaxy S7 Active.
