'Dark Souls 3' Ranks First In PC Games; Two DLCs To Be Introduced At E3

It is no late night news that "Dark Souls 3" is the bestselling title from Bandai Namco today. After all, the number of player pool the game has continues to grow. And true enough, the title is now the number one title for PCs in terms of revenues. Meanwhile, fans can expect two DLCs to arrive for the game, and there is every possibility that these will be introduced at E3.

According to Vine Report, the highly celebrated action role-playing game acquired the fifth spot when talking about console games. However, when it comes to the PC version, "Dark Souls 3" easily grabbed the number one slot.

Bandai Namco's latest video game has accumulated a whopping $45 million (from all digital channels) during its first few months when it was released. Subsequently, it outperformed the revenues (almost $18 million) it earned from the consoles. It is safe to say that this is the first ever installment in the franchise to perform way better on the PC than console versions.

As for the mobile gaming category, Supercell continues to dominate the throne, as its hit games "Clash Royale" and "Clash of Clans" continue to make revenues. The said games have reportedly given the studio an astonishing amount of $100 million.

Going back to "Dark Souls 3" and its expected DLCs, The Christian Times reports that fans should expect two expansions some time in fall. Contrary to what others believe, the game will only acquire two downloadable contents.

While the game is confirmed to receive two DLCs, the names of these expansion as well as their release dates remain unknown. But if there is one window of possibility, these contents might at least be introduced at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo).

First and foremost, E3 is one of the largest gaming and tech events in the country (or as far as the corners of the globe is concerned). So if the developers of "Dark Souls 3" want to make a grand entrance, the said event is the perfect choice. Second and not the least, the event is where huge news and/or updates about upcoming games, DLCs and whatnots happen. Again, if the devs want to continue the hype, E3 is the safest bet to have.
