'Dark Souls 3' New Patch 1.05 Is More Than Just Fixing Bugs

Just like any other video games, "Dark Souls 3" has its own share of bugs and issues. Fortunately, FromSoftware has been very keen on releasing patches almost on a regular basis since the game's release in April. And now, the studio is looking to release yet another update, only that the patch notes are quite vague.

According to Kotaku, the devs behind "Dark Souls 3" have been known to release distinctive patch notes ever since. But this time around, not only is the new patch ambiguous, it does not also point out what the changes really are.

The new "Dark Souls 3" drops on Friday, as already announced by the company. One notable note is that the upcoming patch will adjust the attack power and skills of both fist and claw weapons. Sure, it is understandable that adjustments will happen; however, in the questions of how, it does not answer directly.

If this is the case, it is likely that the "Dark Souls 3" community will be the one to unravel the mystery behind it. And this will surely happen once the patch arrives. Simply put, a lot of effort in terms of data mining will be done.

VG247, on the other hand, notes that the forthcoming "Dark Souls 3" patch will introduce bug fixes. But not just that, it is believed to bring mysterious changes in terms of the game's balance. The patch will replace the current version to 1.05, while the regulation will be turned to version 1.08.

Below are some of the "Dark Souls" patch notes.

  • A fix on the freezing issue when jumping into the fog in Archdragon Peak once bell ringing is done.
  • Trophies will lock accordingly already, despite the required item being sent straight to the storage.
  • A fix on the Symbol of Avarice's HP drain damage when resting near a bonfire.
  • A fix on both effect and animation, both of which are not syncing up when magic is used repetitively.

The upcoming "Dark Souls 3" update will go live on PlayStation 4 and PC. Xbox One details are said to be revealed soon.
