Yahoo has introduced a newly launched web browser, named as Yahoo Axis, a "search browser."
The newest web browser has different versions for iPad and iPhone, as well as plug-ins for the desktop browsers Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Safari.
Axis brings a new life to the usual Web search process, and with the new format, you just need to enter a query and go directly from the query to website and pages via thumbnails. Now, there is no need to search for surfing the best result from a long list of links.
Designed in a minimalist way, Axis makes search more visual. However, the best feature of Axis is its ability to sync with devices in a nearly-flawless way. For example, you can open a page on your iPhone and can start exactly from where you left on your iPad. You can even sync your bookmarked pages. But it is to be noted that it doesn't sync search history between devices.
While Axis works wonder on iPad and iPhones, its performance on desktops has been criticized by many who believe it works more as a syncing tool than as a searching browser.
Axis, however, is a nice attempt to come back in the business for the struggling Yahoo.
