'GTA 5' Online Mod Has New Playable Character; Sequel Finally Gets Release Date?

"GTA 5" has been one of the highly anticipated games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event. And yes, as announced, its online version (or mod) will be getting some great updates. It is said to be receiving a new playable character. Meanwhile, a bunch of new details about its sequel is gradually surfacing.

According to Yibada, the "GTA 5" online mod is expected to acquire a couple of new updates from Rockstar Games. It will include a total of three brand new maps as well as other exciting features. But above all of these, fans will be introduced to a new playable character.

Although the studio is yet to elaborate the details of the new "GTA 5" character, it is believed to pique the interest of many.It is said to have the same concept, in one way or another, but will have a unique element, say, in terms of gameplay. It will reportedly arrive as soon as the next update arrives to the online version of the titular crime-themed video game.

Moreover, the upcoming "GTA 5" online update will feature three new maps. These are officially named as "Place IV," "Place V" and "Place VI." And good news, players can now bookmark these maps in-game. Hence it is best to check them out right away.

The Christian Times, on the other hand, reports that the sequel to "GTA 5" will likely include the so-called "London" map. And if this is true, it will certainly be a new perspective for fans to look at. This is most especially that all "GTA" games have been heavily focused on all four corners of America.

However, this change alone is synonymous to a good amount of years to be spent. Hence the sequel to "GTA 5" ("GTA 6") might not arrive very soon. It is also worth noting that Rockstar once envisioned a "GTA" title located in Tokyo. However, the development alone was deemed rigorous, thus the idea was later on put to thrash.

The company has yet to confirm a release date for the "GTA 5" sequel. Nonetheless, numerous reports are pointing to a possible 2018 release window.
