The month of June has grown witnessed to one of the largest digital events in the industry -- that is, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). And along with this prestigious event, Microsoft turned out to be one of the most loved. After all, their Xbox console has a huge following. But when talking about the said console, it is unjust for Xbox One backwards compatibility to be completely undermined. Well, fans should be -- it now offers a great lineup of games, with "Left 4 Dead" and "Portal 2" being recently added.
It is true, however, that Xbox One backwards compatibility did not make such titanic noise at E3. This is for the fact that Microsoft instead focused on showcasing Xbox One S and the highly anticipated Project Scorpio. But hey, the tech giant surprised the gaming community a couple of days after the aforesaid event.
According to Game & Guide, a good number of new titles have found their way straight to Xbox One backwards compatibility. In fact, even up to now, the deluge of gamers snowballs every once a week or so. And it is really interesting, especially when fan favorites such as "Left 4 Dead" and "Portal 2" made it to the list.
"Left 4 Dead" was developed by Valve and was released way back in 2008. It is best remembered for having a unique gameplay and in-game ethics. The title is basically under the umbrella of first-person, survival horror games. Hence it is a great celebration for such game to arrive in Xbox One backwards compatibility.
"Portal 2," on other hand, was also developed by Valve, with April 18, 2011 being the release date. It became one of the most loved first-person puzzle platform video games back in the year. Well, it seems Xbox One backwards compatibility knows how to play nostalgia.
Apart from these amazing titles, fans would be happy knowing that Xbox One backwards compatibility also includes classics like "Fallout 4: New Vegas" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops." Heck, even the great "Halo Wars" and ever-popular "Gears of Wars 3" are on the list as well, as shown on the Xbox site.
