Japanese video game developer Konami’s game director Hideo Kojima, at a “Zone of the Enders” event, has announced that the company has finally started working on the long awaited follow-up to the “Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.”
Konami, at the event, also announced the release date for the “Zone of the Enders HD” compilation which will be arriving on October 25 for both PS3 and Xbox 360. However, Kojima didn’t provide a specific release date for the original “Zone of the Enders.”
According to a Gamesradar report, it is also unlikely that the fans will see much of the game at the upcoming E3.
The “Zone of the Enders” series is set in the late 22nd century when Mankind has colonized Mars, and space colonies are also set up in orbit around Jupiter. Two scientific advances, the development of the Laborious Extra-Orbital Vehicle, or LEV, a mecha used for labor and military use, and the discovery of Metatron, a high-energy ore found on Callisto, are fueling the advancements.
