There were already rumors about 2k Games releasing the so-called "BioShock: The Collection" anytime soon. Recent news reveals that the collection is slated for a September 13 release. Hopefully the trailer is enough to build the hype during the two-long wait.
According to Ubergizmo, a "BioShock: The Collection" leak signaled the possibility of 2K games releasing the highly anticipated bundled collection. However, it was only recently that the studio confirmed all the speculation after releasing an official trailer for the "BioShock" collection.
As the name suggests, "BioShock: The Collection" is basically a collection of all "BioShock" titles released. It remains a mystery, however, if it will include all the downloadable contents (DLCs) that have been unleashed as well.
"BioShock: The Collection" is expected to arrive within the year, particularly on September 13. It will be introduced across all platforms, from PlayStation 4 to the Xbox One and PC. With that in mind, every fan will surely be enjoying this treat from 2k Games.
Polygon, on the other hand, notes that "BioShock: The Collection" will offer other features as well. It will include a director's commentary from Ken Lavine himself and lead artist Shawn Robertson.
"BioShock: The Collection" will be priced at $59.99. For fans of the franchise, two of the original games from the series will be remastered. In the new version of "BioShock," for example, players will be treated to a virtual museum of sorts, which was never introduced to the original title.
As for the remastered "BioShock Infinite," it will arrive on all consoles. Unfortunately, it will not be released on the PC. 2k explained that the said title has already met the standards of every generation console. It is said to introduce Burial at Sea episodes, Columbia's finest pack and the Clash in the Clouds add-on.
"BioShock: The Collection" brings the popular three titles in the series together for the first time. It is complete with all the released single-player DLC as well as never-before-seen video games. Check out the trailer below!
