iPhone 6S vs. Samsung Galaxy S7 And LG G5 : How Does Apple's Champion Stack Up Against 2016's Android Titans

Despite the running excitement for the upcoming 2017 flagships, there are plenty 2016 smartphones that still pack a punch. Three of the more notable ones are Apple's iPhone 6S, Samsung's Galaxy S7 and LG's G5. Following this, the most notable difference is that the initial runs on iOS, while the latter two are powered by Android.

According to The Week, the iPhone 6S actually has a lot over the original 6-series. Included in these updates are a force-sensitive touchscreen, a faster processor and a 12 megapixel rear camera. The force-sensitive feature alone is enough to give users a new experience and it was even called "a touch of the future."

GSM Arena adds that the iPhone 6S has 2GB or RAM, with an option of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB or internal memory. The screen is 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels. It is powered by a pre-installed iOS9 with an Apple A9 chipset and dual-cre 1.84 GHz Twister CPU.

On the other side of the road, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG's G5 are among the best that Android has on its 2016 roster.

According to Android Headlines, The S7 is "easily the best that Samsung has ever roled off its production lines." This statement alone is notable enough, as Samsung has constantly lead in the smartphone market. While the S7 and S7 Edge both have similar specs, the latter simply has a more futuristic aesthetic. It also has a 12 megapixel camera and a very realiable 3600 battery. Samsung has also recently made the unit available in an unlocked variety, which would make owning one much easier and more effiecient for other users.

Samsung's S7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and has as much as 4GB of RAM. As for internal storage, the unit is built in with 32GB, but this is expandable through a microSD. THe display is 5.5 inches and the entire unit weighs just 157 grams.

On the other hand, the LG G5 started off on rocky ground. In fact, the initial device did not do so well. However, it has since received some variations, and there are now other modulars available. The G5 is much different to its predesessors. It is very minimal and has a 5.3 inch screen. It also sports a dual camera in a relatively small and professional package.

Internally, the LG G5 is much like the S7. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core pricessor with a 2.15 GHz Kyro CPU. It has an amazing 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. And like with most Android devices, the phone's memory is expandable througha microSD card.
