Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 For PC Being Developed Alongside Console Versions

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” the highly anticipated upcoming project from Treyarch, is reportedly being developed by a dedicated PC team alongside its console – Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – versions.

According to a Gamingbolt report, although it is widely believed that “Call of Duty” has always treated the PC as a second tier system, giving more importance to the Xbox 360 and the PS3, this time around the PC version is also getting an equal amount of importance. The developers have created a separate team for the PC version of the game.

As per a Twitter post made by Treyarch’s director of technology, Cesar Stastny, “PC version is developed by a dedicated pc team simultaneously with the other platforms.”

He has also assured PC fans that “Black Ops 2” on the PC will punish cheaters as much as possible. “BO2 built from the ground up to catch cheaters,” he said.

“Every popular pc title is hacked upon release,” Statsny said via another Tweet. “We are improving our ability to detect and ban based on lessons learned on blackops.”

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is set to arrive this November for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
