Publisher THQ and developer 4A Games’ upcoming action-oriented game title “Metro: Last Light” has now received a newly leaked footage.
The new footage was uploaded as GameTrailers, but it was later removed for uncertain reasons. While most believe, as per a DSOGaming report, that the trailer was removed because it was uploaded prior to GameTrailer’s exclusive deal with 4A Games, but a YouTube member ‘FE4R87’ managed to download the video and later re-uploaded it.
The game is set in the year 2034 and, according to the official website, “Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.”
It further adds, “Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.
“As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…”
“Metro: Last Light,” which is a sequel to “Metro 2033,” is expected to hit storeshelves in the first quarter of 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
