'Dark Souls 3' Update: Devs Admits Mistake With 'Poise' Stat; New Patch Brings Changes To The Powerful Dark Sword

"Dark Souls 3" and the rest of the installments in the series are truly a massive hit. But of course, every game regardless of the gameplay and whatnot still has its flaws. This is true for the third title in the franchise.

The Poise stat, in particular, has been a controversial topic ever since. Fans have been very vocal about the glitch, with devs continually disagreeing with them. However, FromSoftware has finally accepted defeat and issued an apology at last.

The Poise stats has been one of the few points that keep the "Dark Souls 3" community disappointed. Needless to say, in the previous games, the stat allowed players to take massive hits without staggering, let alone falling to death. However, in the new title, despite the number of elements added, it appears to be of no use at all.

"Dark Souls 3" players are constantly being knocked around easily, despite equipping heavy armor to increase Poise. To make matter even worse, FromSoftware opted to remain mum about the situation, going as far as suggesting that the system is working as intended.

Nonetheless, as reported by Kotaku, the game's director Hidetaki Miyazaki admitted how things in the Poise stat have gone towards the cuckoo side. Miyazaki said that the "Dark Souls 3" feature was not something they are particularly proud of.

The director also said that everything can be improved. In fact, he assured all "Dark Souls 3" fans that this will be of the utmost importance and will surely be handled in the near future.

Meanwhile, in related news, VG247 reports that "Dark Souls 3" has been updated recently. The new update has brought some relative changes to the overpowered Dark Sword. It basically nerfed the said item, bringing balance to the game as a whole.

Dark Sword is considered one of the best "Dark Souls 3" weapons. Not only does it present heavy-damage, but it also works with a speed akin to that of a lighter, straighter sword. Obviously, this brought imbalance. As a result, the devs have released an update, reducing the effectiveness of the sword.
