'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3' Update: Microtransaction Packages Price Discounted; 'Descent' DLC Features Two New Battle Areas

Good news for all "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" fans: Activision has reduced the price of some of the game's microtransaction packages. With that, they can now opt to acquire a number of "Call of Duty" Points bundles across all platforms. Meanwhile, the "Descent" DLC map trailers have been released, featuring two battle areas.

According to GameSpot, the studio has discounted the price of some of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" microtransaction packages. Players can acquire the aforementioned Points bundles that are reduced to as much as 30 percent. The discounted gig is happening throughout PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, it will only be made available for a limited time.

Below is a breakdown for the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Points bundles along with their respective prices:

  • 2,400 Call of Duty Points -- $16 (normally $20)
  • 4,100 Call of Duty Points -- $30 (normally $40)
  • 10,300 Call of Duty Points -- $70 (normally $100)

Unfortunately, the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" 200 and 1,000 Point bundles are not included. As such, these bundles are still being sold at $2 and $10 respectively.

It should be noted that microtransactions originally arrived to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" way back in December 2015. It was introduced through an update, particularly for the title's so-called Black Market store.

Meanwhile, Activision has also unleashed not only one but two "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" trailers for the "Descent" DLC. The videos showcase two maps. One of the maps is a brand new creation that is coming to the game anytime soon, as reported by iDigitalTimes.

As for the Berserk map, it basically offers players the opportunity to engage in various shootouts in the abandoned village called Viking. Empire, on the other hand, brings "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" fans back to the ever-popular map Raid, which originally hailed from "Black Ops 2." It is believed to include a support for the game's faster movement processes, while being totally recognizable to fans who spent hours playing the second installment.
