Geoff Keighley: Wii U Will Not Run Unreal Engine 4

Epic Games has confirmed at GDC that the new Unreal Engine will not be supported on the Wii U. Epic has only confirmed the same comment that was made by Spike TV host Geoff Keighley on his Twitter account yesterday.

Keighley actually responded to a tweet where someone asked whether the engine will be on the Wii U, to which he confidently replied, “No, at GDC Mike Capps said Wii U will be Unreal Engine 3.”

He has also revealed that during the next gen episode on GTTV, Unreal Engine 4 prototypes will be shown that be will running in real time.

There will also be a demo showing a monster erupting from the lava, according to a Gamingbolt report.
